Pickleball Kingdom Announces Pflugerville Location

Pickleball Kingdom, one of the largest and rapidly expanding pickleball facility companies in the country, has announced their first Austin area location.

We first covered Pickleball Kingdom’s plans to expand to Austin in APU Volume 7, predicting at the time that their “North Austin or the northern suburbs” location would likely end up somewhere in the Pflugerville, Cedar Park, or Georgetown area.

We can now confirm that Pickleball Kingdom will be located at 1900 E Howard Ln, Buildings E & I in Pflugerville, TX.

According to their press release, the Pflugerville location will cover 30,000 square feet across two distinct buildings.

Building E features three full-size courts plus a half-court and championship court, and building I will have eight full-size courts and a 2,200-square-foot mezzanine for spectators.

Building E will open ahead of Building I, as franchise owners Jared and Pam Jolly wanted to prioritize an earlier opening to give local players a place to connect and compete.

Building E (3.5 courts) is slated to open on Sunday, Oct 13, 2024, while building I (11 courts) will be opening in early 2025.

Pickleball Kingdom in Plano, TX

It’s a good time to be a pickleballer in the north Austin suburbs, as Pflugerville is also home to the recently opened Pickleland.

Players interested in learning more can check out the Pickleball Kingdom Pflugerville website, where they are currently accepting founding memberships for the first 75 interest parties.

Additionally, Pickleball Kingdom Pflugerville will be hosting an open house on October 12th & 13th from 1-8pm in Building E as a part of their grand opening.

Stay tuned to Austin Pickleball Update for more news on Pickleball Kingdom coming to Austin!

Texas Ranchers Roundup - Still Top 3

The Texas Rancher’s have been on a bit of a hiatus in recent weeks.

Their last event was at MLP Kansas City on August 3-5, and they have a 2+ month break before their next and last MLP event of the regular season at MLP Las Vegas on October 14-16.

After this, the Ranchers will be heading into the Round 1 of the MLP Playoffs in Dallas on November 1-3.

That said, Major League Pickleball has still been in full swing, with MLP New York completing this past weekend from September 19-22 as well as the upcoming MLP Virginia Beach this weekend from September 26-29.

MLP Premiere League Standings

The Ranchers currently sit in third place with 35 points. Second place belongs to rival Dallas Flash Pickleball with 37 points, and first place belongs to STL Shock with 38 points. Fourth place New jersey 5s sits not far back with 31 total points.

We’re excited to be entering the final stretch of the season, and to see the Texas Ranchers make a championship run for the 2024 MLP season!

Stay tuned to Austin Pickleball Update for the latest news and information about Austin’s professional pickleball team, the Texas Ranchers!
