Hello, and welcome to Austin Pickleball Update - Texas Ranchers 2024 MLP Playoffs Special Edition!

Support the Texas Ranchers' 2024 Playoff Run this Weekend in Dallas!

Anyone who reads APU knows that we love Austin's professional pickleball team, the Texas Ranchers.

Given that we're such huge fans, we're excited to share that the Ranchers have made it to the 2024 Major League Pickleball Playoffs, taking place this weekend in Dallas at Brookhaven Country Club, November 1-3.

Our call to action for you, dear APU reader, as well as the entire pickleball community in Austin, is to join us in Dallas this weekend to support the Texas Ranchers for their 2024 MLP playoff run!

You can pick up a ticket for Saturday, Sunday, or both days, and each ticket purchased includes a Texas Ranchers vintage 2024 playoff tee.

The Texas Ranchers (#5 seed) will be taking on D.C. Pickleball Team (#6 seed). Each series is a best-of-three matches format, with the third match to be played only if teams split matches 1 and 2.

The Texas Ranchers match times are as follows:

• Saturday 11/2 at ~4pm Central

• Sunday 11/3 at at 1pm Central

• *️Sunday 11/3 at ~6pm Central (if necessary)

With Austin located so close to Dallas, we calling on the Texas Ranchers fanbase to show up BIG this weekend for their matches against D.C. Pickleball Team!

As an added bonus, any Austin Pickleball Update readers in attendance can pick up a free APU paddle cover (while supplies last). Just send us a DM to let us know you'll be coming to cheer on the Texas Ranchers in Dallas!

The MLP Premiere League 2024 Playoff Picture

The top six Major League Pickleball teams at each level by regular season standings gain playoff entry and the chance to win their league’s 2024 championship. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds earn byes directly to their respective Semifinals.

Below are the Premier League playoff teams and rosters (players listed alphabetically):

• (#1) New Jersey 5s: Will Howells, Mariana Humberg, Zane Navratil, Anna Leigh Waters – Bye into the semis

• (#2) St. Louis Shock: Anna Bright, Kate Fahey, Hayden Patriquin, Gabe Tardio – Bye into the semis

• (#3) Dallas Flash: Hurricane Tyra Black, Augustus “Augie” Ge, Jorja Johnson, JW Johnson

• (#4) D.C. Pickleball Team: Dekel Bar, Vivian Glozman, James Ignatowich, Rachel Rohrabacher

• (#5) Texas Ranchers: Christian Alshon, Quang Duong, Tina Pisnik, Etta Wright

• (#6) New York Hustlers: Lea Jansen, Jackie Kawamoto, Carson “CJ” Klinger, Jack Sock

The two teams that prove victorious this weekend in Dallas will advanced to the next round of the 2024 MLP Playoffs – Semifinals & Finals in Orlando, FL on November 22-24.
